This is a link to an easy process for setting up your 2FA:
If you don't want to receive a text code or email to verify, make sure your install gmail on your phone first, if you haven't already, and associate it with your internal account. Then you may choose to get a prompt in your gmail app. The you just say yes or no when it asks if it is you logging in.
Computer Instructions From Google Support:
Allow 2-Step Verification
- Open your Google Account.
- In the navigation panel, select Security.
- Under “How you sign in to Google,” select Turn on 2-Step Verification.
- Follow the on-screen steps.
Verify it’s you with a second step
Important:
- When you sign in with a passkey, it bypasses your second authentication step, since it verifies that you have possession of your device. Unlike passwords, passkeys only exist on your devices. They can’t be written down or accidentally given to a bad actor.
After you turn on 2-Step Verification, you need to complete a second step to verify it’s you if you choose to sign in with a password. To help protect your account, Google will ask you to complete a specific second step.
Go to this Google Support page for details on how to set up on Android or iPad and iPhone.
